Orlando Science Center LIFE Exhibit

The Orlando Science Center’s LIFE exhibit transforms exhibition space through immersive swamp, ocean, and rainforest environments designed to educate and inspire visitors. As general contractor, McCree delivered the complex build-out in coordination with the broader project team, integrating sophisticated structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems tailored to the exhibit’s specialized operational needs. Major elements include a suspended maintenance catwalk, a 5,000-gallon saltwater aquarium with structural acrylic panels, and a 1,000-gallon freshwater aquarium with an elevated footing pad. Specialized climate control, life support, lighting, audio, and upgraded life safety systems work together to support both the habitats and the overall visitor experience. The result is a dynamic, interactive environment that sets a strong standard for future science and nature-based exhibits.
