Project Description

Orlando Fire Station #14 is the fourth of five prototypical fire stations designed and built by McCree for the City of Orlando. As a prototype design, it share many similarities with its sister stations, but McCree’s flexible design granted for important features which allowed it to be effectively integrated into its community. This fire station is environmentally friendly and has since been LEED-certified for its green and energy-efficient features. These elements include low water-usage faucets, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, and natural light resources. Fire Station #14 incorporates all the necessary features of a fi re station as well, and these include living and sleeping space, offices, and a kitchen. This building offers the City of Orlando a cost-effective and practical facility and gives city fire fighters a base from which to serve the local community.

The project was completed on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality.
