McCree Completes Boys & Girls Clubs
McCree General Contractors and Architects, Inc. is excited to announce the completion of the construction and renovations for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida’s new administrative office building – The Syd & Marianne Levy service Center.
The existing building located on 101 East Colonial Drive in Orlando was recently made possible by a generous contribution from Syd & Marianne Levy, known throughout the Central Florida community for their successful United Trophy and Flea World businesses. The plans included a complete interior renovation of the building and improvements to the façade. McCree was hired along with Studio 3 Designs to design and build the headquarters for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. September 1, 2011 marked the ground breaking on the 9,920 square foot project. With a budget of $885,000 McCree was able to give the nonprofit organization’s new Service Center above and beyond the quality they desired.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is a leading youth development organization that offers children between the ages of 6-18 a safe environment to learn and grow with adult caring role models. In a world where many children are left to their own devices, Boys & Girls Clubs can mean the difference between a future of violence on the streets or a college education and a career. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is strong and successful but was in need of new administrative offices. McCree was selected to provide for their need. The project will not only visually improve the surrounding neighborhood; it will provide Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida their own building where they can focus on improving the lives of children in Central Florida. McCree is privileged to work with such a fine organization and excited to give them exactly what they are looking for, on time, within budget, and exceeding their quality expectations.
Since 1944, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida has provided children from the local community between the ages of 6-18 with a safe place to learn and grow. Its membership totals more than 10,000 youth at 15 Clubs and 14 middle school sites in Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.
